DoorDash starts robot deliveries in LA and Chicago
DoorDash is rolling out robotic food deliveries in Los Angeles and Chicago through a partnership with Coco Robotics. These cooler-sized bots are designed for short trips, helping restaurants deliver meals more efficiently. So far, they’ve completed over 100,000 deliveries worldwide. While the robots handle simple routes, human drivers still manage longer or complex orders, ensuring a balance between innovation and traditional service.

Albert Saniger, founder of the AI shopping app Nate, has been charged with fraud after it was revealed that the app’s transactions were manually processed by workers in the Philippines, not by AI as claimed. Despite raising over $50 million from investors, the app’s automation rate was nearly zero. Saniger faces up to 20 years in prison for each of the two criminal counts.
